Student-Parent Book Club

Student-Parent Book Club will read WONDER by R.J. Palacio
Who: All Watertown 4th & 5th grade students and an older partner pairs (parent, grandparent, older sibling, mentors)
When: Read now and meet for a discussion at 7pm on Thursday, March 27th
Where: Watertown Free Public Library (WFPL)
How: Multiple Copies of Wonder are available NOW for check out at the Children’s Desk. The librarian will give you and/or your child a brief introduction to how to read a book for a book club discussion and provide a handout of helpful tips. Both adult and child read the book – together or independently – by Thursday, March 27 and then come to the library to share your thoughts & enjoy some tasty treats. The discussion will be facilitated by Emily Miranda, the lead children’s librarian at the Watertown library. This program is FREE OF CHARGE & in lieu of the Hosmer 4th/5th Parent-Child book club which has run been run by the Hosmer reading specialists & funded by the PTO in past years.
